Is E: a mechanical hard drive? How old is it? Drives are wear items like car tires. (For those who never saw the movie into a thow-away-joke movie so all the jokes are really broad and quick It’s funny and a clip would be only a few seconds long). I wonder what it says about me that when I read “strange problem installing games” my thoughts turned first to ridiculous morphological difficulties much like the guy with the “drinking problem” in airplane. I also tried this on my laptop and got the same issue with MS Solitare Collection. I tried to install the game in WPSystem like the other games are installed in. Now this isn't what I did the first time. Now, I made a folder called XboxGames on the E drive and it let me select that folder. I can't select the E root folder anymore like I used to.
All the other games I want do this as well. When I select E:, it says: You can't set your default install location to that folder. So I'm now installing Psychonauts 2 again on the E drive and where it didn't ask me for a specific folder with Lucky, it's asking me for one with PN2. Just now, I uninstalled New Super Lucky's Tale from the E drive and reinstalled it while typing this for an experiment and that installed just fine. I decided it was a small enough game to quickly reinstall since Gamepass likes to 10mbps me on downloads. I uninstalled MS Solitare Collection which oddly enough has been sitting on the C drive all this time. Error code: 0x80071770 I opened the MS store to see if it was downloading there and it wasn't on any list. (psychonauts 2, outer wilds, the gunk, aliens firestorm elite) kept getting an error saying there was a problem. So this morning, I tried to install a game called Maneater along with a few other games. I want to keep those drive separate for organization's sake. My C drive is strictly only used to OS and programs for work. I've been using Xbox Gamepass for PC for a long time now and I have 678GB of games on the E drive that I constantly play from.
